MISSION
We commit ourselves to give more than half of all money Grace Church receives to mission. Our mission includes the evangelical church in 15th of May City, Egypt; beleaguered Christians in Syria and Iraq; and a home that rescues children in Uganda.

We support  CLARITY, a local agency assisting mothers to save their babies and young people to understand God's purpose for their sexuality. We give to Mother's Cupboard, and some of us volunteer there. We assist individuals in need, often when we are their last resort. And we are always open to new claims from God on our prayers, time, and money.

THE CORE OF THE PROTESTANT REFORMATION:1. GRACE ALONE

Salvation comes solely from God's grace; it is unmerited and received as a gift.John 3:16; Romans 4:3-5; Romans 5:8-9; Ephesians 2.8-9; Titus 3:4-72.

FAITH ALONEWe receive grace through faith alone, not through sacraments or works, and faith is a gift of God.John 1:12-13; Romans 3:20-22; I John 5:11-133.

SCRIPTURE ALONEThe supreme and final authority for what we believe and do.I Thessalonians 2:13; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21; Galatians 1:11-12

CHILDREN
We don't have a nursery.

Our children belong to God & to us and we want them with us as we worship. If they sometimes are noisy or active, that's what children are and do. They are part of our family, the household of God.
Isaiah 10-22 - Isaiah 10-22

MORE ABOUT WHAT WE BELIEVE…

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, the supreme and infallible instrument through which God tells us what to believe and what to do.

We consider the Heidelberg Catechism, a collection of questions and answers from the Protestant Reformation, to be a helpful summary of what the Bible teaches. The Catechism follows the Letter to the Romans in teaching our separation from God, how God heals us through Jesus, and how we are now to live thankfully. It includes the ancient Apostles' Creed, the Ten Commandments, and the Lord's Prayer, which are basic for all Christians. We use the Catechism in our  worship every week, to remind us and our children of what is most essential in the faith God gives us.

We believe that Jesus Christ, who is God, the Maker of heaven and earth, in a particular man, died on a cross to free us from our sin and to give us the lives God always intended, starting right now and continuing forever.

OUR WORSHIP

IT'S ABOUT THE GLORY OF GOD;

IT'S NOT ABOUT HOW WE FEEL!

EVERY WEEK, WE

  •  Praise God with hymns and psalms

  • Admit our failure to love God & neighbor and receive God's forgiveness throug  Jesus Christ

  • Enjoy the lesson of the week from the Catechism

  • Hear the Word of God preached from the Bible

  •

  • Ask God's help for other people and ourselves

  •

  • Thank God for his goodness to us and to all people

  •

  • Gather around the table to eat and drink the Lord's Supper.
